Approximately 250 of these guns were manufactured in 1851. It is referred to as the single trigger Navy model. It is stamped on top strap, along with "Warner's Pat. January 1851" on frame. Features a 6" round barrel, .36 caliber, six shot round cylinder, single action, with walnut grips. it is considered a secondary U.S. martial handgun, although no contracts are known. Both sides of frame are etched with cannons and flags. All metal finishes are grey-brown patina with some freckling. Very good walnut grips with nine painted on kill marks. Excellent action and bore. Never seen available on today's market.
