Both guns are standard Civil War era Remington model 1861 .36 caliber Navy single action percussion revolvers. Features include 7-3/8" octagon barrel, six shot unfluted cylinder, .36 caliber percussion, walnut grips, and blued finish. The first, serial No. 24380, retains approximately 35% original blue on barrel, balance of gun is a smooth gunmetal grey, excellent walnut grips. No martial stamps. Excellent action. Mirror bore. The second, serial No. 22780, retains 50% barrel blue, 60% blue on loading lever, 35% blue on frame, cylinder is a clean gun metal grey, balance of gun turning patina. Excellent grips. Perfect action. Mirror bore. Guns are cased in a vintage homemade casing.
