Serial No. 1667. Standard rifle made from 1878-1882 in 45-70 Govt with less than 3000 made and rarely seen on today’s market. It sports a 28” octagon barrel with full magazine and a crescent steel butt. Rear stock was redone at one time and is shy to the metal. It is an early style with S-Lever. Receiver is basically patina with some fine pitting on right side. Barrel is a mottled blue/brown and is missing the front sight from dove tail. Extremely clean and strong bore. Missing the loading gate. Has all the proper markings.
