Serial No. 17886. These rifles were manufactured from 1881-1892. This is the thin framed model, chambered for the .38-55 Winchester. It features a 28" octagon barrel, full magazine, and rifle buttplate. It is a deluxe model with checkered pistol grip stock. The blue on the barrel, tube and frame has turned a pleasing blue-plum color and is very clean. The checkering on the fore end is just about worn smooth. The deluxe stock is missing a large piece on right side the entire length of the tang. The tang screws are missing. Bore is strong with some frosting. this would be a wonderful candidate for a new set of wood.
