This is a fine example of a very clean small frame 44-40 Kennedy standard rifle. It sports a 24” octagon barrel and full magazine with early S-style lever and rifle butt. Overall, the metal on both barrel and receiver are a clean and smooth blue and plum mix with some fire blue on loading gate. Beautiful un-touched varnish with just a couple of hits to the wood. Strong clean bore and tight as new action. Sharp example of a scarce rifle made from 1879-1886.
