Shipped as a blued 7 ½” 38 WCF revolver to E.C. Meacham of St. Louis on August 17, 1893 with grips not listed (standard rubber). During its period of use, it was masterfully engraved and nickel plated. All factory stamps are quite pronounced and the engraving is still sharp. It is a smooth clean gun with traces of nickel in hidden areas while the balance of the gun is smooth gun metal color. Bore is superb and the action is as new. Grips are perfect. Extremely handsome engraved Colt from the gateway to the West.
