Serial No. 12913. Standard features include a 4 ½” round barrel converted to .38 rim fire. This particular revolver was engraved during the period and was fitted with a pair of metal Tiffany and company style Civil War motif grips albeit, they are not solid Tiffany, just of the period and style. The Colt factory records indicate a no record gun for serial number 12913 but these were made circa 1873-75 with a total production of about 2000 guns. The gun remains in fine condition with basic smooth gun metal tone, brass grip frame and nicely executed period engraving with a fine cylinder scene. All matching numbers except mis-matched wedge. Gun indexes and locks perfectly. Bore is strong with frosting. The case has a tattered Colts instructions sheet on inside lid. The dividers are missing. Accessories include a non- descript turn- key, an unmarked two cavity bullet mold, cap tin and cleaning rod. Handsome set.
