Serial No. 158787. This is an above average condition carbine made in 1882. It is your standard configuration with 20” barrel in .44 Henry rim fire with full magazine. Has the flared frame and the trap door carbine butt stock. The rear sight is a strange non factory replacement. The finish on the barrel and tube are basically a smooth dark blue brown patina. Brass receiver has mellowed to a lovely tone. Stock was redone at one time and is a little shy to the metal with a chip to right side of tang. Works fine. Bore is extremely strong and clean for one of these models.
WINCHESTER MODEL 1866 S.R.C. 3RD MODEL.
