Serial No. 9244. This is one of the finest examples of the gun maker's art. Manufactured by W. Richards of London prior to 1869. It features 31" barrels with lovely brown Damascus pattern, a full matted rib, engraved side locks, blue and engraved double hammers, finely checkered walnut stocks with gold inlay. The Damascus patterns on the barrels are perfect and retain all of their original brown finish. The receiver is in the white. Wood is in near mint condition. Faces and locks up perfectly. 2-3/4" chamber. Imp-mod. The gun was expertly and lovingly restored to as new condition, it looks today just as it did when sold in the 1860s. Mirrored bores and nitro-proofed. A classic London double.
