Serial No. 27068. This Colt 1911 type was manufactured between 1940 and 1945 (this one being dated 1942). Manufactured at Kongsberg Vapenfabrik. All matching serial numbers on slide, frame, trigger, slide-stop, and safety. Parkerized finish. Caliber is stamped 11.25 mm. Has the Kongsberg and crown acceptance stamp on slide. No Nazi proofs so it was manufactured pre-occupation. Has a lanyard ring loop magazine and diamond checkered walnut grips with the cut out for the special slide-stop. Gun retains approximately 80% of the war-time finish with high edge wear and some light freckling on the left front slide. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action.
