Serial No.35689. Manufactured by Azadzay Arrizabalaga in Eibar, Spain in 1916. Left side of frame has the "AA" French Army World War I Acceptance marks (indicates factory where produced) in addition the butt has two stars further requirement for all pistols procured for the French army during the first World War. It is basically one of a myriad of pistols referred to as "Ruby pistols". They were chambered for the 7.65mm cartridge, magazine fed, semi-automatic with a blued finish and checkered walnut grips. All numbers on this gun match, including the original magazine. It has survived in remarkable condition given the survival rate. It retains approximately 90% of its original dull factory war time blue finish with wear on the high areas. Has a fine strong bore. Perfect action. Comes in a vintage unmarked holster in which some one has written "Ruby" in pen on the inside flap, and an extra unmarked magazine.
MODEL 1916 PISTOL (FRENCH ARMY WWI).**
