Caliber 8mm. Bolt is marked 5839 as is the safety. Barrel, receiver, floorplate, and trigger guard are all marked 2723. Receiver ring is dated "1915 Berlin". Bore is dark with very good rifling. Perfect action. Wood is excellent with faint acceptance marks. Has the roller coaster rear sight. Metal is basically blue-brown patina. This was a standard rifle in the trenches of the German army during the first World War. Comes with a bayonet.
