Proud Indian chief on his horse sculpted by Austrian artist Carl Kauba. Kauba was noted for his iconic images of the American frontier in a class with Remington and Russell by collectors. Remarkable, considering he never saw his subjects in person. Inscribed: C. Kauba in rocky base. Excellent casting in classic patinas of brown and black enhancing the beauty of the subject.
