Highly detailed bronze bust of and Old West pioneer by renowned artist Jo Davidson. Davidson was famous for his academic portrait sculptures of captains of industry, US presidents, authors, celebrities and allied heads of state. Inscribed: J. Davidson This is a departure from his usual subjects but retains the highly detailed and earthy style of his body of work. A wonderful casting in a dark green patina. There is a small imperfection in the top edge of marble base.
