Serial No. 150857. This revolver was a standard army issue in 1917. It is a Colt New Service model and sports a 5-1/2" tapered barrel marked "United State Property". "U.S. Army Model 1917" stamped on butt. Smooth walnut grips. Lanyard right. Inspector mark left side frame. Double action. Caliber .45 ACP. Gun is in fine condition retaining approximately 75% of the war-time finish. Starting to patina. Some additional wear and light pitting to the last 1" of the barrel. Fine frosted bore. Perfect action. These large frame .45s saw heavy use at the front during the first World War.
