Elegant pose of Indian holding a paddle, stepping into a canoe. Highly detailed sculpture in brown patina with polychrome details in red, yellow and black. Inscribed: C. Kauba on lower back side of base. Kauba was ranked along with Remington and Russell as one of the best and most prolific sculptors of American West subjects. Rare casting.
