An image of one of the vanishing tribes of the Northwest with shield, bow and quiver. In a dignified pose with head raised defiantly and arms crossed, the Chief stands to meet the white strangers of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Inscribed: MVLTNOMAH (in front) H.A. McNeil '05 (on back of self-base). Fair to good casting in brown/green patinas. Missing head feather from left side of model's hair.
