The original "Buffalo Signal" was created by Remington for French Devereaux as a single edition (one-only cast) in 1902. He broke the mold and had the original copyrighted with no foundry mark. The original now resides in the National Cowboy Hall of Fame. This edition was cast in silver around 1995, along with other Remingtons, by convicted racketeer, Darrell Coker. Coker created appraisals and certificates of authenticity with the name Henry Bonnard, Inc. in the provenance (not to be confused with the Henry-Bonnard, New York foundry which produced bronzes during Remington's era). Inscribed: Frederic Remington (front of base), SILVER HENERY BONNARD FOUNDRY FOUNDER 1895 Cast# 53/100. The cast is determined to be approximately 1000 oz. solid silver. Aesthetically, it is a fine casting with good detail.
Condition: (Very Good).
