This is a fair casting of a Remington original created in 1904. It is a depiction of a fur trapper negotiating a steep descent in the Rockies, showing the skillfulness of balance and sure footing of the horse with the dizzying sense of height. Inscribed: copyrighted by Frederic Remington, SILVER Henry Bonnard Foundry Founder NY 1895 Cast# 2/50. This casting was falsely authenticated and certified by convicted racketeer Darrell Coker in 1995 (certificate attached). Cast in approximately 1000 oz. of silver. Quality of the casting lacks detail with visible casting seams.
