Serial No. 73739. This custom rifle started life as a Winchester Model 70 action manufactured between 1945 and 1947. It has been rebarreled by Geipel and is chambered for the .450 Ackley. Custom features include a safari style folding leaf rear sight, ramp front, ported and muzzle break installed. It utilizes the original Winchester stock with fine checkering, double stock bolt and a Pachmayer pad. Virtually all of the blue finish remains and does not appear to have the action refinished. Restocked Checkered walnut stock is excellent, missing the sling eyes, floor plate is attached with Allen screws, three holes on left side of receiver for aperture sight are not filled. Bridge is mounted with Redfield base and rings. Excellent bore and action. Fine as customized Model 70.
