Serial No. 52386. This is an early German Weatherby in scarce .224 magnum cartridge. It is stamped "Varmint Master" and has all the features that have become characteristic traits of the Weatherby rifle, especially the diamond skip checkered stock, rakish Monte Carlo comb, Weatherby recoil pad, contrasting rosewood fore end top and grip cap with white diamond. Barrel is 24", sans sights. Rifle is topped with a Weatherby Imperial 6x62 scope with Buehler mounts and rings. Rifle retains most of the original blue factory finish with a couple minor thin areas. Stock is excellent with a couple of usual hunting dings. Trigger shoe added. Perfect optics. Factory sling eyes installed. Wonderful early Weatherby in scarce caliber.
