Serial No. 1518387. This is a standard carbine manufactured in 1949. Features a 20" round barrel, full magazine, .30-30 caliber, ramp front sight, and steel checkered shotgun buttplate. A sling swivel stud has been added to the rear stock and a band on the magazine tube. These are considered flatband carbine due to the distinctive pressed steel flat front barrel band. It was manufactured during and right after World War II. Another distinctive feature of this carbine is the long fore end. The gun is in excellent all original condition, retaining approximately 97% of original factory blue on barrel and tube. The receiver retains most of the original factory blue on both sides, silvered out on top and bottom. It has the original sporting rear sight. Wood is in excellent condition, proud to metal, having never been refinished. Fully operational with an excellent, clean bore. Fine thirty-thirty.
