Circa 1850. Tang stamp is not legible but for the exception of the work "Paris". Blade length is 19", overall 25". Top edge of blade has a single chip. Handle is ribbed brass with a Roman type cross guard. What was country of origin on back of cross guard has been removed. Back of guard retains the $560 over an oval stamp which is no longer legible. Original leather scabbard with brass tip and throat included.
