This is an early serial number Springfield receiver No. 2740183 that went through the Korean War rebuild program. The barrel is stamped S.A. 9-52. The stock has faint rebuild cartouche. The sniper scope and mounts are all original GI. The scope is the model M84, serial No. 18323. The rifle is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield round. Proper original black painted mounts. Excellent bore and perfect working order. Original stock is excellent but faded under the original leather M.R.T. 2-52 marked leather cheek pad. Rifle comes with an original flash suppressor. Contains most of the original factory arsenal reapplied parkerized finish. Overall a super un-messed with Korean War sniper rifle that is getting increasingly hard to come by and considered by many to be the finest battle field rifle ever manufactured.
