These revolvers were manufactured from 1860 to 1868. Standard features include a seven shot non-fluted cylinder, a 3-3/16" octagon barrel, square butt rosewood grips, plated brass frame, blued barrel and cylinder in .22 short rimfire. This revolver is housed in a custom made shadowbox with two badges. The back is sealed so we did not take the gun out to see if it is operational nor do we know the serial number without taking the back apart. Visible description of left side of revolver displays a blue brown patina (original finish), blue patent date stamped cylinder with some light discoloration, majority of the plating missing on receiver, nice case colors on hammer and very good original grips. Nice early display piece.
S&W MODEL NO. 1 - 1/2 ISSUE REVOLVER (CASED).
