Referred to by collectors as the Zouave rifle. Features include .58 caliber, single shot percussion, 33" round barrel, two barrel bands, bayonet lug on right side, brass mounting, blued barrel, case colored lock. Lock dated 1863. Barrel and lock are a brown patina with overall light pitting. Wood is excellent and has perfect cartouches on left side. Excellent condition. Includes vintage white leather sling and ramrod. Strong seven groove rifling with some minor corrosion.UPDATE: RIFLE COMES WITH ORIGINAL 1863 BAYONET AND SHEATH.
