Never heard of this phone company before and cannot locate any historical information on its existence, but this is a really nice phone. This candlestick represents the competitive telephone company landscape back in the early 1900s as well as any. There is almost no information about the Jaynes Electric Company, except that the business resided at 35 Eagle St. in Buffalo, New York around 1905. This candlestick was made by S.H. Couch for distribution by Jaynes Electric (private label), but the company couldn't have remained in the telephone business for long. As a result, this is an extremely rare telephone.
