Serial No. 31545. Offered is a high condition Smith & Wesson Model 1917 double action revolver in caliber .45 ACP. Manufactured for the United States Army for service during the first World War. Aside from some light muzzle wear, light drag line, and a couple of minor surface spots, the gun remains in almost unused condition with at least 85% original factory blue, mint grips, fine strong bore, perfect action, and all case colors on hammer and trigger. U.S. Army stamp on butt, lanyard ring, and military inspectors stamp on frame. 2" of wear to left and right side of barrel and little wear to the top of the frame. Back grip strap is browning. Comes with a reproduction holster.
