Serial No. 3131. This fine condition revolver comes with a letter dated 1986, that describes this revolver as having originated in the Northwest Territories. It further states that Leonard Hore received a Winchester from Bill Cody And that Hattie received a Winchester as well. The Hore family was associated with Colonel Cody at the time he has the Erma Hotel. This information was in the August 1974 issue of 'Guns Magazine', page 73. The letter further states that based on the above information that this gun may have also been given to Hattie by Colonel Cody. The revolver itself is a standard, fully factory nickel plated Marlin model 1873 tip-up, seven shot, .22 caliber revolver. It remains in almost pristine condition, retaining virtually all of the original factory finish. Mint grips, tight as new action, and looks to have seen little to no use. It is engraved "Hattie" on the right side of the frame, as was as "H.M.H." on the backstrap. Further research could reveal more interesting Western history.
COL. CODY TO HATTIE HORE MARLIN PRES. REVOLVER.
