Serial No. 92. Given this model was introduced to the public in 1908, this is only the fifth year production gun of what was to become one of the most famous military handguns of all time. Finding pre-WWI examples (i.e. before 1914), is getting next to impossible and offer a wonderful opportunity to acquire a really scarce pistol in high condition. All matching numbers inside and out. The magazine is not numbered but is correct for this era gun and has the wood bottom. Finish remains a strong 90% plus with usual high edge wear on left plate and rail, right rail and end of barrel. Even the grip straps retain most of the high luster original blue finish. Grips are original and excellent with high edge wear. Bore is mint and the action is perfect. Lovely straw colors intact. Simply outstanding early example. Our thanks to Mister Luger for completely disassembling each Luger in this collection for internal inspection.
