Serial No. 114801. Manufactured in 1955. It comes with a factory letter that states it was shipped to Texas Sporting Goods of Houston on August 22, 1955 in nickel with 5” barrel and stocks not listed. It is housed in its original two piece cardboard box with proper nickel sticker and a set of original instructions. Box is not numbered on bottom. Gun itself is hard enough to find in blue let alone rare nickel finish and an early example at that. It retains virtually all of the original nickel factory finish and sports a mint set of original Coltwood grips with the red bowling ball color. There is a bit of minute freckling near grips. Gun shows little to no real use. Best of all, it is chambered for the .38 super round and has the original nickel Colt stamped magazine.
