Serial No. 265850. Manufactured in 1945 and falls into the proper serial number range frame for Ithaca run of Model 1911’s. It is standard army issue .45. Frame stamped M1911A1 US Army and has the proper FJA inspector stamp on left side. Proof P stamped on both top of slide and frame as well. Trigger and hammer are checkered. Slide stop and safety are serrated. Main spring housing is incorrect and of the flat 1911 style. Correct type Keyes grips. Sights original. Proper magazine. Nice clean bore. Perfect action. Gun surface is clean but no original finish. A proper main spring housing and a re-park would make this into a nice late WW11 pistol.
