This is standard US Navy issued rolling block rifle mfg. by Remington. Two band musket featuring a 32" long barrel. .50-70 cal. Blued finish of which it retains 50-60%. Starting to plum. Butt plate marked "US." Wood is refinished and re varnished. Strong rifling. Perfect working order. Serial No. A264. Frame is marked "USN Springfield 1870." Comes with an original bayonet mfg. by Ames of MA. with scabbard.
