First one has unknown maker, brass handle, inscribed "Presented to M. (?) Oates by his friends in the city of Norfolk, December 23 1863." The second is an M.C Lilley dress sword, IAUW with navy anchors. Third one has an etched blade, broken leather sheath with brass fittings, shark skin handle, wire wrapped, brass hand guard. Fourth is an unmarked cutlass with no sheath, wire wrapped handle, chaffed, simple brass "D" hand guard. And last is a Civil War medical staff sword, has an American eagle brass hand guard, wire wrapped leather handle chaffing, no sheath.
