Serial No. 691548B. According to the history we have on this rifle, Abercrombie & Fitch commissioned the building of special Winchester model 1873 to commemorate the 100th anniversary. The first 5 guns were contracted to Midwest gunsmith Dell Zornado. They were apparently created using original model 1873s and assorted parts. They were then engraved, inlayed with gold, restocked, and refinished. Lower tang built in 1916 according to the serial number, and the frame is an earlier scarce open top antique. Barrel is 24" round, full magazine, decorated with gold at the breach, entire receiver is engraved and case colored, as is lever and hammer. New wood with deluxe grain. Bore is very good with some roughness. Cannot find any A&F markings on the gun anywhere. Handsome rifle as remanufactured.
