These single shot rifles were manufactured in Worcester, MA from 1859 to 1888. Often referred to as the two trigger Frank Wesson rifle in that the first trigger allows the barrel to drop down to loading and the rear trigger is for firing. This one features an extra long 30" .41 caliber rimfire full octagon barrel with the blue iron receiver and walnut rear stock. Rifle is in excellent condition. The barrel retains a majority of its re-blued finish, the receiver is basically plum with traces of original blue, trigger guard is plum, excellent stocks are a bit shy to metal and were refinished at one time. Excellent action, though the trigger spring is a bit weak. Very good and strong bore.
FRANK WESSON SINGLE SHOT SPORTING RIFLE.
