This is a rare Waffenamt stamped coded 98K Military standard short rifle. Top of the receiver is stamped "bnz43". Bolt and safety are numbered 5040. Receiver and barrel are basically gun metal grey patina. Chambered for the 7.92x57mm. Rear sight to 2000 meters. Barrel measures 23.62". Has the laminated stock. It is getting extremely difficult to find these Nazi marked Model 98s. Strong bore. Fine action. Stock is excellent with no major chips or dings.
