Serial No. 84585. Caliber 7.5x54mm. Bolt does not match. Manufactured at St. Etienne. Model 1907/15 standard bolt action military rifle of the French army during the first World War. These saw heavy use in the trenches during six years of warfare. The metal is an all smooth brown patina. Wood is very good with a 1" missing chunk at toe.
