Serial No. 7841. Mismatched bolt. Receiver is stamped "Erfurt 1917". This is considered the German model 98A carbine. Caliber 7.92mm. All metal is a brown patina. Wood is very good with the usual dings. Floorplate numbers match receiver. Stock does not have the finger grooves. Perfect action. Strong but dirty bore. Widely used German infantry rifle used during the first World War.
