Robert Fartington Elwell (1874-1962). This detailed bronze buffalo is shown lying on the ground looking ahead for danger or signs of trouble. Heavily chased textured buffalo hairy hide with massive horns protruding from his head. This buffalo rests on a double oval black marble plinth and is dated 1936. Cast signature on the bronze base with a copyright mark on it. Weighing in at around 50 pounds, this buffalo is in very good condition.
