Offered is a fantastic deluxe Model 1889 rifle. It is chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. Special order features include a 26" half octagon barrel, half magazine, deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stock, and rifle buttplate. Rifle remains in near mint condition. The frame, barrel, magazine, and fore end cap retain virtually all of the blue finish. The entire top surface of the barrel is finely matted. The lever, hammer, and buttplate retain most of the brilliant case colors. Wood stocks are near mint with just some minor varnish lost on high areas and some oil darkening. Factory letter verifies all of the features except the matted barrel, it was shipped on July 30, 1890. Action is perfect. Strong bore. Extremely fine deluxe 89 with incredible wood and condition. Rarely seen this nice. Factory letter confirms all above except for the matted barrel.
