Offered is this beautiful high condition Marlin Model 1897 deluxe lever action .22 caliber rifle. Special features include a 26" full octagon barrel, magazine (2" shy of muzzle), deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stock, Marlin logo hard rubber shotgun buttplate, blued finish, with case colored receiver and lever. The barrel and tube retain at least 95% original factory blue finish. The frame retains approximately 60% original case colors, some extremely bright. Nice traces of color on lever. 90% blue on fore end cap and takedown screw. All the fire blue remains on bolt. The original deluxe checkered wood stocks are in like new condition with no cracks or chips with a lovely fire-grain. Good clean bore. Perfect action.
