This is a beautiful M1 Garand rifle chambered for the .30-govt-06. The barrel has a 12/55 date (SA). The walnut stock has the proof P on the bottom. Left side of stock has the DOD Acceptance stamp in 1/2" box used on Springfield M1 Garands produced after 1953. Barrel is inscribed "NM" on left side for National Match, but has no other National Match features. Stock is near mint. All metal surfaces retain 100% of the greenish parkerized finish. Shows no wear, even on slide bar. ME-1. Bore is shiny. Beautiful near mint M1 Garand manufactured right after the Korean War.
