This is a standard service model government issue M1 Garand semi-automatic service rifle. Chambered for the .30-govt-06. Frame was manufactured by H&R and dates to post-Korea. It has a D28287-18SA numbered bolt. Barrel is stamped 11 64 y63 SA. Has a circle P on wrist and eagle DOD 1/2" acceptance stamp on left side, used after November 1953. Stocks are excellent with two small repairs on left side. Metal retains virtually all of the parkerized finish. Trigger guard is not stamped. Strong bore. Perfect action. ME reading - 1. Comes with an original canvas sling.
