This is a standard service model government issue M1 Garand semi-automatic service rifle. Chambered for the .30-govt-06. Frame dates to post-Korea manufacture. It has a 6528287-SA y01 numbered bolt. Barrel is stamped SA-5-56. Has a circle P on wrist and eagle DOD 1/2" acceptance stamp on left side. Stocks are excellent. Metal retains virtually all of the parkerized finish. Trigger guard is not stamped. Strong bore. Perfect action. ME reading - 1. Comes with an original canvas sling.
