Offered is an incredibly rare pre-war factory nickel Colt Detective Special revolver. Factory letter confirms this revolver was sent with nickel finish, 2" barrel, .38 caliber shipped to Sutcliffe Company in Louisville, Kentucky on October 23, 1933 in a shipment of one gun. This gun remains in excellent condition, retaining fully 97% of the original factory nickel finish with just a small flake of left side front barrel, and one small spot on cylinder. It sports the original square butt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Mint bore and action. It is hard enough to find a square butt blued Detective, but nickel is next to impossible, especially in such fine original condition.
