On February 22, 1932 a Colt Banker's Special was given to then Governor of Massachusetts, Joseph B. Ely. This Colt comes with a factory letter listing the following: shipped with a 2" barrel, blued finish, pearl stocks, shipped to Major Harry R Marshall at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, shipped on February 22, 1932 in the order of one of gun. Caliber .38 Special. This gun was then cased with accessories and was engraved on the backstrap "Governor Joseph B. Ely from the A. & H. A. CO. A copy of the minutes of the meeting refer to the presentation of this revolver to the Governor at the banquet. The gun matches factory records. It remains in as new condition, showing no signs of wear, albeit a very light cylinder drag line. An incredibly rare and scarce gun in its own right, this presentation revolver with its full documentation present a rare opportunity for the Colt collector.
