This amazing target rifle is often referred to as a "Biathlon" rifle. It sports a Dragunov design. It is chambered for the 6.5x54R cartridge. Manufactured in the 1950s through the 1960s. It is set up for Olympic style shooting and used by the Soviet team Behind the Iron Curtain. It has the fine diopter rear target adjustable sights. Other features include the 29" round barrel, finely checkered walnut stock, Olympic hooded adjustable front sight with built in cover, slot on bottom of fore end for adjustable weights, rubber recoil pad. Made by Izhevsk. Stripper clip cut and has a matching sear and bolt. Manufactured in the same factory as the famous Moisan Nagant. It is in near new condition with a mint bore and action. A never seen Soviet Olympic target rifle in top condition used by the Russians during the height of the Cold War competition.
