This rifle was manufactured in 1884. It is a standard rifle that features a 28" round barrel, full magazine, trapdoor rifle buttplate, walnut stocks, blued finish, and is chambered for the large caliber .45-60 round. The rifle is missing the dust cover. Overall metal surfaces are a dark brown patina with a rough textured finish from corrosion. Stocks have been sanded at one time, are shy to the metal, and have quite a bit of character. It is missing the rear sight elevator. Action works. Bore is worn. Nice rifle to decorate a Wild West room or den.
