This is a fine early long slide manufactured in 1903, second year production. It is referred to as the 1902 Military, albeit this is a civilian issue pistol. It is chambered for the .38 automatic cartridge (not .38 Super). This pistol has all the early features including finely checkered front slide, rounded hammer, and 1884 dated magazine. This pistol remains in fine condition with early models rarely seen this nice. Frame retains approximately 70% of the original factory high polish blue, while the slide at about 50%. The balance of the pistol is simply turning a beautiful blue-plum mixture. A fire blue still visible on trigger and the hammer retains most of the case colors. The grips are near mint. There is still fire blue on the screws as well as the barrel. Rare original factory stamped magazine still has 30% blue on the bottom and the lanyard ring is intact. Bore is perfect, as is the action. Fine rare gun. With factory letter.
Item Dimensions: 9" L.
